Engine Contracts

Engine selection and maintenance contracts represent one of the largest commitments made by any operator. Engines represent between 70-80% of the total maintenance costs for an aircraft. As a result, more and more operators are signing up for long and expensive maintenance contracts with engine OEMs

RFP Process Management: Blue Skies’ team has experience from both sides of these processes and, as such is perfectly placed to formulate and project manage any engine RFP process.

Performance Analysis: Our team of executives are uniquely aware of the actual physical performance and limitations of a number of engine types.

Special Operator Requirements: We understand that no two airlines are the same, as such we will ensure each project will be bespoke and meets any specific requirements (harsh environment; difficult take-off; fleet plan.)

Purchase & Maintenance Contracts

Engine Purchase Concessions: Our team’s experience ensures we are acutely aware of market concessions and will keep engine OEMs accountable to reach and exceed these levels.

Baseline Metrics: Setting contract metrics to the most appropriate operational baseline guarantees that any gains earned during the negotiation process aren’t lost during the actual term.

Maintenance Contract Length: Similarly, signing up for a maintenance contract ideally suited to your specific fleet plan will ensure any contract is optimized and maximizes value for the operator.

Monthly and Balloon Rates: Blue Skies is uniquely placed to evaluate any proposal and analyse it on a tail by tail basis to ensure the best rates are achieved whether this be on a PBTH or T&M basis

LLP Inclusion: LLPs are increasing becoming a large portion of any engine maintenance cost, our team understand this and if appropriate will push to maximise the savings for the operator.

Lease Negotiation

Review of documentation to identify areas of improvement or non-standard practice for renegotiation. Maintenance reserves and minimum return conditions could greatly improve the economics for either party. We will generate a tail-by-tail cost analysis to ensure an ideal fit.

Lease End Management

Blue Skies and our technical partners will help you smoothly manage the process of returning, remarketing, extending, converting or scrapping an asset at the end of its lease or life. Our industry expertise will guarantee maximum value extraction of any asset.

Aircraft Sourcing & Trading

Our deals look to connect parties with surplus and/or underperforming assets and those looking to grow or expand into new market with these underutilized aircraft.
